Youth projects
Mossawa Center works on empowering Arab youth in this land through volunteer programs, social initiatives, and internships. These programs aim to strengthen Young People’s sense of belonging, leadership, and teamwork.
“Araba: The Beating Heart of Galilee"
Project In collaboration with the Araba municipality and local volunteer youth organizations, The Mossaawa center launched a project to revive historical sites and build the first public tourist walkway in the city in 2025. Tens of volunteers from a variety of schools and youth groups participated, where they worked on cleaning and restoring sites such as the castle of Aldahir Omar. The old municipality building and the memorial statue, alongside other historical houses and locations. The activities included field trips, exhibitions, and local artistic and agricultural performances. With the aim of promoting domestic tourism and connecting the community, especially youth, with their cultural and historical heritage.
Youth Summer workshops
The Mossawa Center organizes legal advocacy workshops for youth. The workshops bring participants from all over the country to a training experience that lasts four days, and includes leadership, community building, legal and international advocacy, fiscal education, public speaking, as well as field trips and visits to important institutions such as the Knesset, the Bank of Israel, and foreign embassies. This year the program was organized in mid July, and more than 40 students from 15 different Arab towns and cities participated in it. This resulted in great success in terms of engagement, the quality of content, and the resulting effect of this experience on the participants. These workshops flourished into practical projects, namely the development of the “Arraba, the beating heart of Galilee” project. The Mossawa Center views investing in youth groups as investing in the present and future of society overall. And that empowering youth with knowledge and practical tools opens doors for a generation that is aware, entrepreneurial, active, and capable of facing challenges head-on and contributing to positive change
