Mossawa Center held its second training session on dealing with political persecution, with broad participation amid rising crackdowns on political and protest activity.

Held in Haifa and led by attorney Hussein Manaa, the session focused on practical conduct during encounters with police, rapid decision-making, and understanding legal rights during detention and interrogation.

Participants were advised to remain calm, request police identification, and avoid giving statements without a lawyer, stressing the importance of the right to remain silent.

The training also addressed evidence handling, risks during interrogation, and detainee rights, including legal representation and medical care.

The session concluded with an open discussion as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen legal awareness among activists.
