The Mossawa Center announces its Third Annual Summer Camp
The Mossawa Center happily announces its third Annual Youth Volunteer camp. The volunteer camp is a one week summer volunteer program for international and local youth aged between 20-30. Participants in the program will have the opportunity to volunteer in marginalized Palestinian Arab communities throughout Israel, the opportunity to learn about local culture whilst engaging in an intercultural exchange.
The Program will include community service activities in Arab localities, seminars on local culture and history of the land, visits to key historical sites, and recreational activities implemented by the participants.
It was one of the most meaningful experiences that I have had. I understood why we were there because we were able to experience first-hand the daily lives of Arabs in Israel. The impact we were able to make in one week was impressive."
2011 International Volunteer
"..We began to understand the ambiguity of living in Israel for the Palestinian people and the necessity to strengthen the unity of the Palestinian people, wherever they reside. I also reflected on the role of the European people in this conflict, as we were the symbol of the international interest and support for Palestinian people.
